The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Cafe Appears in Shibuya Parco! Collaborative Cafe Between Director Mamoru Hosoda and Studio Chizu with Special Menu Open from July 7!

Shibuya Parco’s The Guest Cafe & Diner, a restaurant which does collaboratives with a variety of series, is now collaborating with director Mamoru Hosoda of Studio Chizu for the first time with their The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Cafe (Time-Leaping Cafe) for a limited time from Thursday, July 7 to Sunday, Aug. 7.

Beginning with The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, a film which had its theater premier 10 years ago in July 2006, the menu will include several of Mamoru Hosoda’s films including Summer Wars and Wolf Children, as well as last summer’s The Boy and the Beast.

At the Time-Leaping Cafe, the menu is packed with items based on director Mamoru Hosoda's work including items that appear in the film or were designed based on different characters. The inside of the cafe is designed entirely based on The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, complete with illustrations done in pencil and paint and beautiful background art. The Studio Chizu Shop is also releasing official merchandise that you can’t buy anywhere else. Celebrate this film’s 10th anniversary this summer at the exciting Time-Leaping Cafe.

Kari Kenji and King Kazuma’s Hamburger Plate, along with Jinnouchi Side Dishes. A thick burger coated in teriyaki sauce. Chosen as the side dishes were a few goodies from the Jinnouchi dinner table including fried taro, komatsuna, and fried tofu. You’re sure to enjoy the miso flavor in the onion potage!

Hana’s skewers have been recreated! Just like in the movie, please dip them in the sauce in the glass before you dive in. In addition to the potato salad by Old Man Nirasaki, there’s also a mizuna salad made with the daikon radishes from their neighbours.
