Are you up for finding Shikon Jewel shards? D’s Ark has announced the making of a smartphone game based on the Inuyasha anime tentatively titled, Inuyasha Mobile RPG, so you can set out on your journey once again!
■ About Inuyasha Mobile RPG
D’s Ark is a company specializing in projects based on influential character IPs (intellectual properties) from all over the world and has created numerous games and services with popular Japanese characters in Korea. Inuyasha Mobile RPG (tentativel title) is a joint project with D’s Ark who is in charge of the project and Hammer Entertainment, a Korean company responsible for development.
This action RPG is based on the story of the TV anime Inuyasha and will feature backgrounds, characters, outfits, and weapons from the show faithfully recreated in 3D. To bring the characters’ movements closer to the original animation style, a rendering method called cel shading is used, while the special techniques will come together in a simple combo system to allow even inexperienced players to have the time of their life slaying all those nasty demons.
Players start out as Inuyasha, and as the story progresses (or specific conditions are met), they meet various characters from the original story whom they can invite to join their group. You can play in story mode, train your characters and measure your prowess in PvP mode, or defeat the strongest bosses with the help of fellow players in co-op mode, too!
Inuyasha Mobile RPG is scheduled for release in the first half of 2017 in Japan and the second half of 2017 in Korea for both Android and iOS systems.
