Is it a man? Or perhaps a bird? Actually, it’s Hawkman, who happens to be a little bit of both!
Those familiar with DC Comics and the DC Universe will have no trouble recognizing Hawkman, a powerful hero whose origin story begins in ancient times, long before the modern world we know. He’s appeared in countless shows, from animated Justice League series to the recent TV series Legends of Tomorrow - and now he’s about to appear on the shelves as a new addition to Kotobukiya’s ArtFX+ Super Powers Classics line as a figure!
As the word classic entails, this version of Hawkman will be modeled after the very first one that ever appeared in the DCU, wearing the same outfit he wore in Flash Comics #1 (1940) under both the names Khufu and Carter Hall. This vintage, dearly missed incarnation of Hawkman will be released this November.

Inspired by the Hawkman figure released by DC Comics in the 1980s, this version looks similar but has had some updates - some of which include how the limbs are connected to the main body, the bolder colors, and how the molding and finishing touches were finished using modern techniques.
As the seventh in Super Powers Classics series, this Hawkman is characterized by his firm and muscular body, anti-gravity belt, feathered wings, and colorful boots - all of which will bring a wave of nostalgia over any fan, considering the dedication to keeping him as true to his earliest incarnation as possible. And of course, he almost wouldn’t be the hero he is without brandishing his deadly but trusty mace.
And for those who don’t want him to be alone, there’s always the possibility of pairing him with the other superheroes in the line, all of which can be brought together to form a very classic Justice League!
