Start summer with a bang at the Kyoto Century Hotel! From July 15 and throughout the summer season, the Super Summer Sweets Buffet is taking place! It's based on the theme "Summer Sweets Trends & Topics," and diners can enjoy around 30 varieties of special patisserie sweets (made using generous helpings of juicy and fresh seasonal fruits) and spicy cuisine. It's the perfect opportunity to experience silky ice (Taiwanese-style shaved ice) or a scookie (a scone and cookie hybrid), plus loads more!
Back in spring, Kyoto Century Hotel's Super Strawberry Fair dessert buffet won rave reviews, and this season's Super Summer Sweets Buffet is based on the image of a tropical market overflowing with fruit and food. This buffet features a bountiful lineup of sweets made using richly sweet fruits like mango, white peach, and figs. You'll also find the latest and most popular sweets, including silky ice, scookies and more. Alongside these desserts, fresh fruits like melon and pineapple will be available too.
The food menu features tropical spicy cuisine that's perfect for summer, like green curry and pad thai noodles. Make the most of summer with deliciously spicy food to stimulate your appetite and wonderfully refreshing sweets to keep you cool.
As you sit down to enjoy your meal, each guest receives a Soleil Himawari as an avant dessert, a kind of pre-dessert to keep you going until the main desserts. During the Super Summer Sweets Buffet period, there's a very special avant dessert up for grabs! Every day, one lucky guest will receive the Cinderella Chocolat - a beautiful treat based on Cinderella's glass slipper. Whoever gets to enjoy a romantic moment with this magical dessert must feel just like a fairytale princess!

**Avant Dessert First Overture** - Soleil Himawari, the avant dessert served to express the omotenashi (the Japanese concept of hospitality and good service) of the patissier. Each beautifully presented plate features refreshing lychee ganache and a yoghurt and milk chocolate mousse coated with milk chocolate, decorated with a flower made from dried pineapple. Soleil Himawari means "Soleil Sunflower," and it's made in the image of a sunflower on a bright summer's day - there's even a cute little chocolate ladybird resting on its petals!
Surprise Second Overture - Every day, one lucky customer will be treated to a Miyazaki Mango Cinderella Chocolat! An almond dragee (a roasted almond coated in sugar) will be hidden inside just one of the Soleil Himawari avant desserts. The lucky customer who finds this almond dragee will receive the surprise gift of a Cinderella Chocolat - a beautiful dessert in the shape of Cinderella's glass slipper! The cute colour of this chocolate high heel is thanks to richly sweet Miyazaki mangoes. Maybe your fairy godmother will grant your wish and let you enjoy a special moment with this stunning dessert!
