Mysterious Band No Name Appears in “Attack on Titan: Junior High” CD Jacket Art

The mysterious band No Name that appears in the TV anime Attack on Titan: Junior High is making headlines. No Name is a three-piece band in which all three members are disguised with bandages covering their eyes, and they are so charismatic they even have their own fan club at school. No Name is making their real debut with the CD Hizamazuke, Butadomo ga, and now the curious jacket art to the CD has been posted. Spread across the jacket is an eye-catching visual of the band’s three members.

Attack on Titan: Junior High was created as a spin-off manga to Attack on Titan. It’s a hit with over 20 million volumes of the tankobon manga in print. It was adapted into an anime this fall, which too proved popular. Though it takes a sharp turn from the main series, presenting a story with a comedic touch set at a junior high school, the secret to its popularity it that the same cast from Attack on Titan perform as their respective characters. The cast members also appear in special segments where a variety of topics are presented.

Character songs will also be successively released. One of them is No Name’s Hizamazuke, Butadomo ga. The released jacket visual is one that raises excitement for the music and shows the three mysterious band members with bandages covering their eyes. No Name will also release another song next year on Jan. 20 too, so there will be more from the band to come.

No Name is also hugely popular at Shingeki Matsuri. The huge event will be held in 2016 under the same title. In addition, with Shingeki Matsuri on the way, a Shingeki Matsuri Executive Committee has been assembled. The committee will be held on Nov. 22 and 27, and will welcome on the 22 Eren’s voice actor Yuki Kaji and Mikasa’s voice actress Yui Ishikawa, and on the 27 Connie’s voice actor Hiro Shimono and Sasha’s voice actress Yu Kobayashi. Further information will be revealed on the official site in the coming days.

The series is staying in the headlines with CD releases and coming events, and season 2 of Attack on Titan is planned for next year as well. Things will no doubt heat up more and more. Keep it here for follow-up reports to come.
