Aika Yoshioka is an artist who enlivens such Otomate games as Hakuoki and Nise no Chigiri with her beautiful songs. On Feb. 11, her CD Nakeru Anison ~With You~, a cover album of “emotional anime songs” including “Kawaranai Mono” ( The Girl Who Leapt Through Time ) and “Platinum” ( Cardcaptor Sakura ), will be released.
Nakeru Anison ~With You~ is a cover album of cherished anime songs with “emotional” arrangements. This heart-piercing album features the famous heart-achingly moving anime songs that Aika Yoshioka spent her childhood and adolescence with sung with all her emotion put in.
The tracklist includes, of course, “Secret Base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~” and “Sayonara no Natsu ~From Up on Poppy Hill~,” as well as vintage tracks like the ending theme to Motto! Ojamajo Doremi, “Takaramono” too. Personally, I’m glad the opening theme to Kochikame, “Katsushika Rhapsody,” is included.

Voice actress Rena Maeda has been confirmed as a guest performer for an in-store concert to celebrate the album’s release at Animate Ikebukuro Honten on Saturday, Feb. 14 - Valentine’s Day! It has been announced that the two will sing a duet of “Amefurashi no Uta ~Beautiful Rain~,” the theme song to the anime Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii sung by Nike Lemercier (CV: Rena Maeda). A session is also planned for the same day between Aika Yoshioka and Shinichiro Fukuda, the well-known guitarist from the Hakuoki concerts, so it’s shaping up to be an event irresistible to fans.
In other news, the second night of the Nakeru Anison ~With You~ listening party will be broadcast on Nico Nico Live on the day the CD releases, Feb. 11. It will be an enjoyable show for fans of Aika Yoshioka and the event’s MC, voice actress Kei Mizusawa, as the two will be discussing never-before-shared stories regarding the chosen songs and the recordings. It seems it will be a night of healing music, so this is a must-see as well.
