In addition, a “Silver 950 RX78-2 Gundam Featuring Robot Spirits” statue has also been produced in solid silver for the more easily affordable price of 648,000 yen (tax included).

This time the popular Gundam Converge series is being sold in solid gold and silver too. While the total size is only about 55 millimeters, the statues are extremely detailed and even cute. In sold gold, the “Gundam Converge The Art of Gundam Limited Ver. Gold” will retail for 3.78 million yen, and the silver “Gundam Converge The Art of Gundam Limited Ver. Silver” for 270,000 yen.

These limited edition luxury goods are on sale now at the Art of Gundam exhibition being held from July 18 to Sept. 27, 2015. Also, even when the exhibition is over the 20 million yen solid gold Gundam will be on sale at Ginza Tanaka(Tanaka Kikinzoku Jewelry’s store in Ginza, Tokyo). This product was born precisely because Gundam continues to be such a well-loved franchise even after 35 years. What kind of developments will we see from here on in?
