A live event has been confirmed for the TV anime series Symphogear. Symphogear Live 2016 will be performed at Nippon Budokan Feb. 27 and 28, 2016. With the third season of Symphogear GX having just begun broadcasting, fans will be happy about this news. It seems the series will continue to be fully enjoyable for both its animation and music.
Symphogear Live 2016 is the series’ third live event, continuing from those held in 2012 and 2013. The cast includes seven performers total: Aoi Yuki as Hibiki Tachibana, Nana Mizuki as Tsubasa Kazanari, Ayahi Takagaki as Chris Yukine, Yoko Hikasa as Maria Cadenzavna Eve, Yoshino Nanjo as Shirabe Tsukuyomi, Ai Kayano as Kirika Akatsuki, and Yuka Iguchi as Miku Kohinata.
Because character songs will also be released one after the next for the third season as well, this event will likely gather great attention. Make sure not to miss any of the follow-up reports on additional cast members.
An entry into a premium priority lottery to attend the event on Feb. 27 will be included in the first volume Blu-ray and DVD of Symphogear GX on sale Sept. 30, as will an entry to attend the event on Feb. 28 in the second volume Blu-ray and DVD on sale Oct. 28. A bonus CD titled Radiant Force will also be included in the first volume Limited Edition Blu-ray and First Edition DVD. It will feature two songs to enjoy, including the title song sung by Aoi Yuki, Nana Mizuki, and Ayahi Takagaki. Both the Limited Edition Blu-ray and First Edition DVD cost 6,500 yen (plus tax).
Symphogear is an original TV anime series by Noriyasu Agematsu of the “sound production group” Elements Garden and Akifumi Kaneko, a game creator who has worked on a number of titles. The series is themed around singing, and has gained popularity for its music as well.
