Seiji Mizushima’s latest anime Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou to air from October 2015
New information has been released regarding the new TV anime series Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou including cast and creative team details plus the October 2015 start date. For the first time in the anime industry, an official website for the show will be developed in 10 different countries worldwide.
Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou is set in a fictional “age of gods” in an alternate Japan. About 20 years after the end of the second World War, Japan has developed rapidly when various “superhumans” begin to appear. The series’ protagonist, Jirou Hitoyoshi, is a member of the “Overpopulation Research Laboratory” team operating under the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, also known as the “Superhuman Bureau” where he finds, secures and protects superhumans, safely looking after and safeguarding them.
The show will be directed by Seiji Mizushima ( Expelled From Paradise ), with a script by Shou Aikawa. Bones will be handling the animation production. Noizi Ito, Hekiru Hikawa, and Ryo Hirao will contribute character and concept design, while Space Dandy’s character designer Yoshiyuki Ito will also provide character design as well as serving as the chief animation director.
As for the cast, Kaito Ishikawa will play the protagonist Jiro Hitoyoshi, Sumire Uesaka will play Kikko Hoshino, Aki Toyosaki will play Emi Kino, Eriko Nakamura will play Fuurouta, Kenichi Suzumura will play Shibaraito and Tokuyoshi Kawashima will play Hyouma Yoshimura.
In the August 2015 edition of Young Ace it was also revealed that a manga adaptation will begin running from the September issue. Also, scriptwriter Shou Aikawa and anime & tokusatsu scholar Ryusuke Hikawa will give a talk at the 54th Japanese sci-fi convention Comecon.
