It’s been announced that All Esper Dayo! is being turned into a movie being directed by Sion Sono and starring Shota Sometani. It opens to the public across Japan on Sept. 4, 2015. Amazing girls to join the cast have also been announced, which came as a complete surprise.
This work is based on the popular manga by Kiminori Wakasugi serialized in Young Magazine (Kodansha). It was also recently turned into a drama serial which aired in April 2013 on TV Tokyo’s “Drama24” time slot. This drama version didn’t simply take the source material’s name, but also has the high value of having won the prestigious TV drama Galaxy Award.
The stage is set in Higashimikawa of Aichi Prefecture, where a high school student, Yoshiro Kamogawa, suddenly wakes up with ESP. It a comedy about the other espers he fights and befriends. The work also features plenty of panty shots and other ecchi scenes. Because of this, the question of who would be cast as the girls around the protagonist was frequently talked about, and at last the additional cast has been announced, and the best girls will be appearing.
Firstly, Maryjun Takahashi has been cast as the new English teacher at the school Yoshiro Kamogawa goes to, Higashimikawa High School. She will be playing a gorgeous and sexy woman with the key to the story who joins Team Esper as a fellow esper. Furthermore, playing original characters and espers in the movie are Ami Tomite and Sahel Rosa, increasing the scale of the esper world. Even fans of the original work will be excited to see what their role will be.
In addition, Konno Anna is playing a beautiful and brave woman (a detective with the Higashimikawa Police Investigation Division One) who gets caught up in the huge conspiracy, and the rest of the cast includes Mizuki Hoshina (Higashimikawa newspaper reporter), Ai Shinozaki (bookstore manager), Airi Shimizu (high school teacher, Yoshiro’s homeroom teacher), and Rika Hoshina (employee at a pinball arcade), among others. The beautiful girls gathered from gravure and other magazines are sure to keep the movie lively.
These active and popular actresses and idols from TV and magazines will come together and give enthusiastic performances of “youthful fantasies” of middle and high school boys’ dreams. It’s sure to be filled with swimsuit and underwear scenes. All Esper Dayo! will be going on a roadshow starting on Sept. 4 (Fri.) in Toho Cinemas Shinjuku and other theaters nationwide.
