The season is upon us yet again! That’s right! We’re talking about the ranking that decides through fan voting the top Sanrio character - the Sanrio Character Ranking!! This year’s voting period runs from May 10 to June 15. Vote for your favorite character soon before your forget. ♪
The Sanrio Character Ranking is an official Sanrio project in which the top character of the multitude created by Sanrio to date is chosen by fans through a popularity vote. The winner of the 2014 ranking was My Melody.
This year, 100 characters are taking part in the Sanrio Character Ranking. Each character can be seen on the official site with pirate flair and poses to appeal to fans. Indeed, they look super adorable.

And after looking at the report of this year’s first day of voting… What’s this? Talk about an unprecedented ranking! In an early lead at No. 1 is Shingan Crimsonz from the currently airing anime Show By Rock!, and at No. 2 is Plasmagica, the band the main character of the series is in. This seems to show that the anime’s popularity is strong. On the other hand, last year’s ranking winner My Melody and absolute ace Hello Kitty had a troubling debut, not even ranking in the top five.
