”Nobuyuki Fukumoto 35th Anniversary Project ‘Zawa… Zawa...’ Exhibition” opens at GoFaLABO
The “Nobuyuki Fukumoto 35th Anniversary Project ‘Zawa… Zawa...’ Exhibition - Gallery and Cafe” is being held at GoFaLABO in Suginami, Tokyo from April 25. GoFaLABO is a gallery on Asagaya Anime Street, and it has been the venue of many anime and manga exhibitions in the past.
The exhibition this time focuses on Nobuyuki Fukumoto, a manga artist known for Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji and Akagi. A lot of people are likely to gather, as Fukumoto has many enthusiastic fans.
Besides Kaiji and Akagi, Fukumoto is also drawing Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa, a piece filled with humanity. He also held the Kaiji Original Page Exhibition in 2012 in GoFa, a gallery in Aoyama. The sensation it created and the demands of fans led to the current exhibition. Its highlight is that Akagi, Kaiji, and Kurosawa ared lined up in a way that goes beyond the borders of their publishers.
The exhibition features original pages, high definition prints, and life-size panels. Anzen Taro: Guardman Robot from Kurosawa is displayed as well. It must be pretty exciting for fans.
The exhibit also incorporates music and games, allowing guests to experience a world only seen in Nobuyuki Fukumoto’s works, as the “Zawa… Zawa...” in the title suggests. There is also a collaboration cafe menu, providing fun not just for the eyes. There are also exhibition commemoration goods, making it a happy event for fans.
The exhibition is being held from April 25 (Sat.) to July 5 (Sun.). Advance tickets were already released on Lawson Ticket. The entrance fee is ¥500 and comes with a drink coupon. If you’re a fan, don’t miss out on this chance!
