It has been announced that the Monthly Attack on Titan Official Figure Collection will be released on April 8. For 12 consecutive months, original figures of popular characters from Attack on Titan will be released one after the next. The special thing about these figures is that they were designed using illustrations drawn just for the occasion. The lineup will feature, of course, main character Eren Yeager as well as Jean and Sasha, two characters who hadn’t been made into figures until now. These two have likely been long-awaited by fans.
Each issue of Monthly Attack on Titan Official Figure Collection is a set that includes a magazine and an original figure. There will be two different version of figures: The 3D Maneuver Gear Ver. figures feature eight characters in full-force battle mode in front of a wall, while the Standing Ver. features Eren, Levi, and Mikasa each striking a pose. The 3D Maneuver Gear Ver. figures are based on illustrations drawn just for the occasion by Wit Studio, producers of the Attack on Titan anime.
These are fan-essential items meticulous down to the tiniest details. Above all, this series will likely gather massive attention for Jean and Sasha, being that these will be the first figures released of them. There will be 12 figures total, including the Colossal Titan which will be released in the final volume. The figures have been finished off with the gimmick that if all 12 are brought together it creates a complete diorama of an intense scene of the Survey Corps soldiers fighting against the Titans in front of a wall.
The magazine will include complete synopses of all 25 episodes of the TV anime and thorough introductions to 30 characters. everything from their first scene, to their personality, to their favorite sayings will be introduced for each character. The magazine’s pages will be dense with other content as well including interviews with series creator Hajime Isayama and anime director Tetsuro Araki, and more.
Volume 1 of Monthly Attack on Titan Official Figure Collection will feature Eren (3D Maneuver Gear Ver.). It’s priced at 1,800 yen (plus tax), and beginning from volume 2 will be released on the 8th of each month.
