Things are finally picking up for latest Hetalia anime series, Hetalia: The World Twinkle. The official website for the series features mini characters, CD theme singles for sale and information on upcoming events.
The series is based on Hidekaz Himaruya’s webcomic, Hetalia: Axis Powers. It is published on his personal website, in Monthly Comic Birz, and Shonen Jump+. The anime adaptation, currently in its fifth season, is extremely popular among female anime fans. It was also adapted into a feature film in 2010.
The premiere date for Hetalia: The World Twinkle has not been announced yet. However, the theme song CD single, Hetalia Jet, is set to go on sale July 24, 2015. The song is sung by Daisuke Namikawa, who provides the voice of Italy. I’m sure we can look forward to more great character songs in this next installment of the series.
A Valentine’s Day event will also be held on Saturday, Feb. 14, in Animate Akiba Cultures Zone. Atsushi Kousaka, the voice actor for Prussia, will attend and hand out mini character chocolates of Italy, Germany, Japan, and Prussia. Fans of the series can't miss this special event! Tickets to the event will be available at the store beginning Sunday, Feb. 1. Tickets will be offered first come, first served to customers that purchase 1,000 yen worth of goods at Animate Akiba Cultures Zone.
New character goods will go on sale as well, including nine different character pin badges, and strap charms. The pin badges are packaged randomly, but the straps can be chosen. Both of them are from Hetalia: The Beautiful World. Stay tuned for more Hetalia anime info!
