
The movie Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova DC will release on Jan. 31 at Shinjuku Wald 9 and other theaters across Japan. Along with this release, various events are set to begin in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The first is the specialty shop “Shop of ‘Blue Steel’ Official Temporary Shop @ Shinjuku I-401 Annex” which will open in the Shinjuku Marui Annex Event Space on the sixth floor of the Shinjuku Wald 9 building. The shop is themed around Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova.
“Shop of ‘Blue Steel’ Official Temporary Shop @ Shinjuku I-401 Annex” will be open for a limited time from Jan. 28 to Feb. 12. Merchandise will be available in the event space.
Also, the sixth floor sweets shop Pâtisserie Swallowtail will offer collaboration sweets. The cafe also manages that pastry shop Butler Cafe Swallowtail, and it collaborates with anime and the like using its legendary French pastry recipes. Elegant sweets will likely be introduced for Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova as well.
All kinds of CDs and DVDs will also be on sale at Animega on the seventh floor. Being that the model factory is on the seventh floor, there will be displays of exemplary writings contributed by each modeling magazine and models for sale. For the duration of the event, Shinjuku Marui Annex will be a place to enjoy this series is a number of ways. Arpeggio of Blue Steel is a manga by Ark Performance that is currently serializing in Young King OURs (Shonengahosha). It was adapted into a TV anime in 2013 under the title Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova. It gained popularity for its cute characters depicted using 3D CG, and its portrayal of immense naval fleets.
Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova DC is a re-edit of the TV series along with roughly 40 minutes of new content. Directing is Seiji Kishi and producing the animation is Sanjigen. Staff from the anime are also joining the movie.
