Comic Market 87 to Have Free Wi-Fi Support for Foreign Visitors

It has been revealed that free Wi-Fi passes “Wi2 300 One-Time (1-Day)” will be given to the first 1,000 foreign visitors to Comic Market 87 being held from Dec. 28-30 at Tokyo Big Sight. Along with this, premium codes for “Travel Japan Wi-Fi” will also be distributed.

Sponsors aim to contribute to the spread of Japanese culture overseas through offering support for foreign visitors through a Wi-Fi ticket that works in 20,000 Wi2 locations across Japan, including the event’s venue, and through distribution of premium codes for the Travel Japan Wi-Fi app.

1.) Content for Distribution
“Wi2 300 One-Time (1-Day)” tickets, which give 1-day access to Wi-Fi spots offered by Wi2, will be distributed for free to the first 1,000 guests. Premium codes will also be distributed for the “Travel Japan Wi-Fi” app, which can be used to connect to the 20,000 Wi2 hotspots after downloading the app and registering.

Location: Comic Market Registration Area, International Desk (Tokyo Big Sight East Hall 1, 2F)
Intended for: overseas visitors
Method: Upon showing a passport, visitors will be presented with a W-Fi ticket and premium code.
Free Wi-Fi Period: Wi2 300 (1-Day): good for 24 hours after first logging in
Travel Japan Wi-Fi Premium Code: good for 2 weeks after input on the app

Dec. 28 (Sun.) to Dec. 30 (Tues.), 2014
