From a collaboration series between Sailor Moon, the popular new series to which is available now on Nico Nico Douga, and fashion doll brand Pullip comes the third Sailor Soldier, Sailor Venus. Let’s take a look at plenty of cute shots of Pullip Venus, which released in late October. Of course, all the photos shown are TOM exclusives.
Minako Aino aka Sailor Venus is the Sailor Soldier who protects Venus. A mysterious Sailor Soldier, she awakens to her abilities as a Sailor Soldier before main character Usagi Tsukino becomes Sailor Moon. She is a reliable person who supports her friends through the fighting experience she cultivated during that time. Pullip has captured her beautiful and positive appearance magnificently.
In the original manga, Venus’ role is being a body double for the Moon Princess (Sailor Moon), and she looks a bit like Sailor Moon. Pullip Venus has an air similar to Sailor Moon shown through her big blue eyes and radiant, long blonde hair, while also displaying an expression that shows her composure as a soldier.
Similarly to the already released Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury Pullips, Venus has been carefully crafted, from the jewels in her tiara and the ribbon on her chest to the glossy leather material of her costume. It may be a bit difficult to see in the pictures, but her head is very cutely decorated with her trademark red ribbon, which brings even more appeal to Venus’ hairstyle.
This familiar pose is from the TV anime. Even her orange high heels that she alone among the group wears have been faithfully reproduced. The beauty of the lines of her bare feet are impressive.
Because of the eye gimmicks of Pullip dolls and their over 30 points of articulation, there are many different ways to play with Venus including slightly haughty poses, making her wink, and moving her gaze. You can also try recreating many poses including a playful expression that shows Venus as we normally see her and standing tense in the middle of battle.
Here’s a group shot together with Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury. You can probably tell that the gorgeousness of the dolls has increased with each installment in this collaboration series. We are now at the waiting point for the release of Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter so we a take gorgeous shots of all five Inner Solar System Soldiers.
Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus - this close pair exchange comical dialogue many times in the TV anime. Look closely to find the similarities and differences between these two doppelgangers.
Pullip Sailor Venus is on sale now. Pullip dolls are limited in quantity, so there is a chance Venus will sell out quickly. We recommend inquiring soon at hobby shops and doll specialty stores that sell Pullip. By all means, we hope you take this opportunity to get the lovely and cute “Soldier of Love and Beauty.”
