Good Smile Company Announces Scale Figure of Frau Koujiro from Robotics;Notes

During Winter Wonder Festival 2014, Tokyo Otaku Mode took the time to cover the con, while capturing stunning photos of high-quality scale figures. Some of these figures include Mikasa Ackerman ( Attack on Titan), Ryūko Matoi ( Kill la Kill), and Mirai Suenaga (Culture Japan). You can view the 170+ professional photos here.

But just because Wonfes is over, that doesn't mean manufacturers are slacking off. Many are currently hard at work in producing quality figures for the Japanese pop culture community. Thanks to the folks at Good Smile Company, they've recently announced a 1/8th scale figure of Frau Koujiro from Robotics;Notes.

An introvert at heart, Frau spends most of her time alone, in her apartment. While isolated from the rest of society, Frau invests most of her time developing Kill-Ballad, the ultimate mecha first-person fighting game – or so she hopes. And yes, she's a programmer. But due to denying the outside world, Frau lacks the necessary skills needed to communicate with others. Instead, she prefers to speak in Internet slang and reference Japanese memes. In addition, her personality can be volatile - switching from a bored/irritated state to a rather excited and joyous personality. Kawaii, anyone?

Fans of Robotics;Notes will quickly realize that Frau's figure was inspired by the cover art of Robotics:Notes Revival Legacy manga Volume 1. As fans compare the two, it's clear to see that sculptor Ajiken has successfully brought the character to life.

The figure is undoubtedly cute. The fine detail outlined on her shirt, along with her skirt, create a realistic approach to the figure; her crossed legs add tone and definition, especially in the way her legs are angled, displaying a detailed amount of shape. But at the same time, Frau displays a sleek, yet serious facial expression, which makes for a tsundere setting. Due to the engaging props (sleek sofa, several packs of Pocky, and toy robot Gunvarrel), the figure turns into something much more fun and appealing.
