On Sept. 12, Sega announced the official names of the forthcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games in the new Sonic series, Sonic Boom (known in Japan as Sonic Toon). The Wii U game is titled Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and the 3DS game is titled Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal. Both games will release on Dec. 18. The Wii U game will cost 6,980 yen, while the 3DS game will cost 4,980 yen (tax not included). Both games were given a CERO rating of A (suitable for all ages).
As was mentioned in a previous report, both Sonic Boom games will have different content. Rise of Lyric is an action adventure game in which players can search extensive environments while thoroughly enjoying the world and story. Shattered Crystal is an exhilarating side-scrolling action game. Matching up with the relaunch of the official site, the latest videos of the Wii U and 3DS game have been released.
