Collaborative yatsuhashi (a famous Japanese confection from Kyoto) between virtual singer Hatsune Miku and Shogoin Yatsuhashi Honten, a long-running yatsuhashi company established in 1689, will be sold at the event Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2014 in Osaka to be held on Aug. 30 at Intex Osaka. The yatsuhashi will be sold as a set with another collaboration item, Kyoto fudge, and a special clear file.
The packages were illustrated by popular creators Non and iXima. With the city of Kyoto in the background, Hatsune Miku is drawn in a maiko style. This collaboration item between a confectioner that represents Kyoto and the popular virtual singer who represents the modern era is one that is turning heads.
Hatsune Miku is the character that represents a singing software created by Crypton Future Media, which is based in Sapporo. She became popular overnight after creators began uploading their music and videos created using the software to the Internet. Having held concerts and been developed into goods all over the world, she has gathered attention as a virtual singer.
