People all over the world have been eating sushi for many, many years. There are likely many sushi connoisseurs out there who are proficient in using chopsticks. And because of sushi, there are likely people who think, “I’ve become good at using chopsticks,” “I can name 10-20 sushi without even looking at the menu,” or even, “If it weren’t for sushi, my life would have no meaning.”
To everyone who loves sushi, we bring to you Sushi Socks! Even since Japanese sock maker Sukeno based in Aoyama Prefecture began selling these, they’ve blown up all over the country.
The first thing to notice about the socks is the way they’re rolled. After fans saw these round socks rolled to look just like sushi on the Tokyo Otaku Mode Facebook page, it was flooded with unexpected comments, both serious and joking, including, “These look delicious,” and, “Can I eat them?”
Of course, the socks are practical as well as being fun to look at. They can be used as part of your everyday wear, and they can bring laughter to a variety of situations including when you visit a sushi restaurant or at friends’ parties. Because they are so unique, these socks are trending not just in Japan, but all over the world.
The more you see these socks, the more you’ll want to eat sushi. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to the city to do just that!
The Sushi Socks are available worldwide right now on the Tokyo Otaku Mode Premium Shop. On the day you get your Sushi Socks, we hope you visit a sushi restaurant while wearing them triumphantly.
