LiSA has built an unshakable position as one of today’s most popular female artists. On July 20, she held a large-scale, outdoor solo concert at the Conifer Forest in Fuji-Q Highland called “LiVE is Smile Always - LiSAMMERLAND.”
The concert featured LiSA’s powerful music and was hugely successful as ever. At the concert, LiSA made a big announcement: She will be holding a 2-day solo concert on Jan. 10 and 11, 2015 at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. This new stage is perfect for LiSA, who has grown so much since her debut. Fans at the concert in Fuji-Q Highland let out loud cheers in celebration of the news.
LiSA performed her first solo concert at Nippon Budokan just earlier this year on Jan. 3. The venue was packed with fans and was a resounding success. Now, the scale has been doubled and the forthcoming solo concert will take place over two days. Advance ticket sales for her fan club began on July 20. After that, advance tickets will go on sale to the general public, followed by general ticket sales. Because each of the six stops on her recent countrywide solo tour “LiVE is Smile Always - LANDSCAPE” were sold out, there is no doubt that her two shows at Nippon Budokan will be just as popular.
LiSA picked up attention for doing the vocals for singer Yui of the fictional band Girls Dead Monster in the 2010 TV anime Angel Beats. She made her solo debut in the spring of 2011 and has continued to create hits one after the next ever since.
She made it onto the Oricon CD Single Weekly Ranking for the first time at No. 4 with the release of her fifth single “Rising Hope” on May 7, 2014. She even played to a sell-out crowd for her previous solo concert held at Nippon Budokan on Jan. 3. She’s an artist who should definitely be on your radar. Even more activity is expected of her next year.
In other news, Music ON! will broadcast LiSA’s outdoor solo concert at Fuji-Q Highlight on TV this October. It will be a chance for fans who have never been to enjoy her energetic solo concert. Prepare for next year’s concerts at the Budokan by experiencing this one one more time.
