The Cute Pullip Series Takes on Alice in Wonderland! Welcome to the World of “Classical Alice”!

Pullip is an impressive line of fashion dolls that have big heads, slender arms and legs, and lovely eyes. Here on TOM, we’ve previously introduced Pullips born from collaborations with such works as Sailor Moon and Rozen Maiden.

This time, we’re introducing Pullip dolls themed after the main character from the world-famous novel Alice in Wonderland, Alice. We hope you enjoy our exclusive photos of “Pullip Classical Alice (Sepia Ver.)” which released at the end of August and the previously released “Pullip Classical Alice (Normal Ver.).”

Alice follows the White Rabbit and becomes lost in Wonderland, and though she’s at the mercy of its eccentric inhabitants, she continues to gaze around her with relaxed eyes. Her cute looks and expressions have been wonderfully captured in the Pullip format.

The “Sepia Ver.” doll is based on a sepia color scheme and makes use of monotone accents. Her makeup is also subtle and a Gothic Lolita image floats around her.

Her long, softly curled hair is a mix of white, silver, and gold, and the contrast between it and her gray eyes leaves a strong impression. With her Gothic Lolita charm, she looks like she’s engulfed in a mysterious mood.

On the other hand, the “Normal Ver.” doll was exhibited at “Fashion Doll Pullip Exhibit” held in December 2012 at the Tokyo department store Matsuya Ginza, and there she won the vote for the most popular model. Her outfit is based on sky blue and white, and she’s an Alice with a stand-out image.

The pairing of her elegant, gently curled blonde hair and her pale blue eyes is the epitome of shoujo. She evokes an appeal that will make people think, “Did this doll come straight out of Alice in Wonderland?”

With Pullip’s characteristic “eye gimmick,” the dolls’ gaze can be moved this way or that, and they can also be made to wink or close both of their eyes. With the dolls’ 30 points of articulation, fans can recreate their favorite scenes from the series.

Two Alices that grow big when they eat cake and shrink small when they drink from their small bottle. What will happen to them?

“Pullip Classical Alice (Sepia Ver.)” is on sale now. It can be purchased in Japan at doll specialty shops and hobby shops that sell dolls. Because Pullip dolls are limited in number, those who definitely want this one should hurry and order her.
