First Half of Attack on Titan Theatrical Movie to Release on Nov. 22

The movie Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow has been slated for a Nov. 22, 2014 release date at Shinjuku Wald 9, Umeda Wald 7, and other theaters.

The movie is based on a manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama that is currently serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. A live-action film also based on the series is currently in production as well, but the release date announced this time is for the first part of a two-part compilation of the TV anime. The second part, Attack on Titan Part II: Wings of Freedom, will be released in 2015.

At the same time as this announcement regarding the release date, information was also announced regarding the first round of advance tickets that come with a bonus. The first bonus is a mini clear file (two in total to collect) drawn for the occasion by character designer Kyoji Asano. One random clear file will come attached to each advance ticket. The second bonus to be given out in August is also being prepared. The first round of advance ticket sales will begin on June 21 at each theater that will screen the movie. For information on this, please check the Attack on Titan official site.
