The science fiction fantasy film, which was released last year, fuses CG with live action. The film is currently touring eight cities in the US; Dallas, Boston, Seattle, Washington D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
In line with the US tour, which includes glamorous venues such as the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles and the Lincoln Center in New York, Murakami asked his good friend Williams to handle the remix of the theme song. The music video introduces Hatsune Miku along with animations of kz of livetune, Williams and Murakami.
