A new visual has been released for Chapter 2 of the Persona 3 movie, Persona 3 the Movie #2: Midsummer Knight’s Dream, which will release on June 7. The impressive composition of the visual shows Makoto Yuki and Aigis each facing opposite directions with a white bridge in the background. Aigis will appear in Chapter 2, and her presence is already making a strong impression. Anticipation for the movie will rise until the movie’s release in roughly two months.
Persona 3 the Movie is an anime based on the popular game Persona 3. Persona 3 released on the PlayStation 2 in July 2006 and is still outrageously popular even today. The movies follow the series from the beginning. In the first chapter of the movie, Makoto awakened his Persona abilities by fighting against grotesque monsters known as shadows, and through his struggles, he formed strong bonds with his friends. In Chapter 2, the season changes from spring to summer and new battles unfold for Makoto and his friends.
Advance tickets to the movie that include a special bonus are currently on sale. The second bonus will begin being distributed on April 19. This bonus is a B2-size original poster.
In other news, the Blu-ray and DVD of Chapter 1 will release on May 14. This includes a director’s cut which has 7 minutes of additional, never-before-seen footage. The pre-order-only limited edition will also include a soundtrack CD, specially drawn three-sided box, and the popular Super P3 stickers. This is great not just as a collector’s item, but to get prepared for the release of Chapter 2.
Persona 3 the Movie #2: Midsummer Knight’s Dream will have a countrywide roadshow release on June 7 at Shinjuku Wald 9, Umeda Burg 7, and other theaters.
