For its 10th anniversary, popular Japanese anime “Pretty Cure,” widely known as Precure, opens a pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku (2F). From Apr 1 to 15.
Under the theme “Girl and Woman, Transformation and Fashion,” Tokyo Kaihouku of Isetan teams-up with Precure. Sales of original goods along with the first display of historical transformation items are available. The fashion event grants the wishes of women, who have fantasized about transforming themselves since they were little girls.
Apron and socks inspired from the vest and ribbon of the Pink Precure, room wear designed with motifs of all transformation goods to date and more allow mothers and daughters to enjoy the world of the anime.
Collaboration items with fashion brands are also in store. The lineup includes- earrings and accessories with motifs of transformation items from “himitsu by Syrup.”, handmade knit necklace and hair-tie from “rurumu-usagi”, headpiece, barrette and hairband from “Barairo no Boushi”, and leather clutch from “dictionary”.
Isetan proposes a variety of items that go beyond fashion and extend to lifestyles. This is the first event by Isetan, which iss based on Japanese culture. “When we thought about Japanese cultures and lifestyles, what came to mind was anime and manga. These two are symbolic to Japan, even through the eyes of foreigners. By fusing anime with fashion, we wanted to create a new type of commercial space,” explained a buyer.
Ribbon curtains decorate the exterior of the event space. Customers can take photos in front of the Precure character board set up at the shop, and a large panel of the transformation item “Pre Chan Mirror” is also on display.
