Exhibit of Director Hiroyasu Ishida’s Works to Be Held, Ishida Also Gains Attention for Noitamina 10th Anniversary Short Anime Poulette’s Chair

Studio Colorido will hold an animation exhibition titled “Hino × Aoshigure” on March 29 and 30 at the Hino Community Mori Fureai Hall in Tokyo. It is being held here due to the association between the city and director Hiroyasu Ishida’s short anime Hinata no Aoshigure, which was set in Hino. The exhibit is based on the theme “learn about animation with director Ishida in Hino, the setting of Hinata no Aoshigure!” and is targeted mainly toward Hino’s elementary school students.

At the exhibit will be anime classes and Q&A sessions with director Ishida. Concept materials, storyboards, original illustrations, and scripts will also be on display, and there will even be workshops as well as many related goods limited to the event on sale. The exhibit is open to all.

Hinata no Aoshigure was released along with director Takashi Nakamura’s Shashinkan in October 2013. An encore screening of each is being held at Tollywood in Shimo-Kitazawa until March 30, and they will be released at Movie On Yamagata on April 5. A making-of lecture will also be held at the Tohoku University of Art and Design during the movie’s release in Yamagata.

Director Ishida is also making headlines in the world of TV anime. He is in charge of creating the new opening jingle for Fuji TV’s popular anime programming block, Noitamina, that will be used beginning in April. Concurrently, he also created the short anime Poulette’s Chair in celebration of Niotamina’s 10th anniversary, which is gaining popularity.
