2013 marked what would have been Fujiko F. Fujio’s 80th birthday. Even this year, many events and projects themed after Doraemon are planned. Among these is a special best-of album titled Twin☆Doraemon Song Best 40. 40 songs + 1 extra song have been chosen from the many songs used in the Doraemon series.

These songs include the opening theme to the currently airing anime, “Yume o Kanaete Doraemon,” and the birthday song “Happy☆Lucky Birthday!” that includes all the characters. Other must-hear tracks include “Jaian ni Boeboe,” which became popular as a background track, and “Friend of the Heart.” The album includes a full range of new and old character songs sung by Nobita, Shizuka, Suneo, and Jaian. When it comes to Doraemon, its music is still exceptional among highly popular character songs from current TV anime.

Fans will be happy to know that among these, “Moonlight Blue,” a song sung by Doraemon and the gang to Shiro Neko Luna-chan in the Feb. 14 broadcast, is also included. In “Moonlight Blue,” Nobita, Suneo, and Jaian support Doraemon’s crush. It’s the first character chorus number in the history of the series. It is already being distributed on Recochoku, Mobile Columbia, and TV Asahi Sound, so check these out as well.

Of course, also included is the exclusive song “Friendship” from Doraemon: New Nobita's Great Demon - Peko and the Exploration Party of Five to release on March 8 sung by Subaru Kimura, the voice of Jaian. For fans of Doraemon, this is one album not to miss.
