Many new products and event-exclusive items, mainly figures, were released at MegaHobby Expo 2013 Autumn held on Nov. 30. Among them, there was a focus on the the new second part in the REVdoll series!
The characteristic of dolls in the REVdoll series is the loveliness of their proportions and design. The dolls’ 11-centimeter heads are fitted with 4.5-inch heat-resistant wigs. They also have a new development in doll eyes: 8-millimeter eyes called “potting eyes.” Each figure comes with three eye colors to choose from.
Doubling the cuteness of REVdolls are the themed costumes. The first part of the series, which was designed by manga artist Blade, has a cat theme that includes hats, ties, gloves, and shoes. Crafted down to the tiniest details, each doll costs ￥12,800. The second part to this series, which is themed after angels and demons, was unveiled at MegaHobby.
The company is already working on the design for the third part, the theme being dragons! Illustrator Garoud is in charge of the designs. Look forward to further developments in the REVdoll series!
