The Arpeggio of Blue Steel - Ars Nova concert “Blue Field” will take place at Zepp Tokyo on Dec. 1. This talked-about concert will focus on music from the popular anime Arpeggio of Blue Steel - Ars Nova. Also planned is a screening of vocal unit Trident’s music video for the song “Blue Field” that was recently completed.
The music video features the three members of Trident––Mai Fuchigami, Manami Numakura, and Hibiku Yamamura––faithfully recreated as 3D CG models. These models were created by Sanjigen, the same studio that produces the anime. Each one was imported to Miku Miku Dance (MMD) and MMD creators gave them movement. This video, which faithfully recreates the group’s choreography, will be shown during the concert as Trident perform. The visuals will identically follow each member’s performance.
On another note, a preview video of “Hibiku Yamamura’s Assault! Maritime Self Defence Force” will also be shown. This is one of the videos to be included as a bonus on the first and second volumes of the Blu-ray and DVD for the anime to go on sale Dec. 27. The video shows Yamamura’s (the voice of Haruna) visit to the Maritime Self Defence Force this past August. This is a must-see for not just anime fans, but military fans as well.
The prices of the Blu-ray and DVD are ￥6,825 and ￥5,775, respectively (both prices include tax). In addition to “Hibiku Yamamura’s Assault! Maritime Self Defence Force,” the pre-order-only limited first edition will include special cast and staff commentary, a special CD, and more.
