The ending theme to the currently airing anime Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexall II was changed to a new song on Oct. 6. That song is “Challenge the Game” by the up-and-coming band Redman. Their first single will release on Nov. 13. Now, a video showing the mysterious members of the band, which has already become a sensation, has finally been released. A video clip of “Challenge the Game” is available on Redman’s official YouTube channel. At the same time, the jacket photo for the single has also been released.
The video clip, a first for Redman, is highly story-like and follows the theme of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II. The first half of the video is a drama filled with the passionate message of getting back up and continuing to fight no matter how many times you are knocked down. The video was directed by Elizabeth Miyaji who has worked on promotional videos for many artists.
Redman’s single for “Challenge the Game” will be released as a CD+DVD combo and as a regular edition CD. In addition to this video clip, the DVD will include the non-credit ending to Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II and a special movie. Also, the jacket of the CD+DVD combo depicts the main character Yūma Tsukumo and the heroine Kotori Mizuki.
A live tour celebrating the release of the single is planned to begin in December. Concerts will be held at Shibuya Eggman on Dec. 9, Shinsaibashi Club Drop on Dec. 18, and Nagoya Ell.Fitsall on Dec. 19. With the release of their video clip, Redman is beginning to pull back the veil. Look forward to more of this to come.
