The Moon Stick, a standout toy in Bandai’s goods related to the anime Sailor Moon, is being re-released. The name of the toy is “Proplica Moon Stick.” It will be released in the last third of April 2014 for 8,800 yen.
The target of this product is females in their 20s who more than likely used to watch the anime in the ‘90s. From the beginning, the Proplica Moon Stick has been an “adult oriented” character item that pursues the reproduction and details of the actual item and was planned to be sold under the Proplica brand. By the way, the name Proplica is a portmanteau of the words “prop” and “replica.”
The Proplica Moon Stick is not the same as the toy Moon Stick that was previously sold, and it comes complete with the Silver Crystal that includes seven LEDs that light up the same way it does in the anime with the push of a button.
The replica’s coloring and shape have also been beautifully created for adults, and a recording of seiyū Kotono Mitsuishi (Sailor Moon) saying “Moon healing escalation!” is also included. The Moon Stick comes with a stand for displaying it on, making it something that can also be enjoyed as a collector’s item.
