Akihabara was taken over by Hatsune Miku! On Sep. 28, this rumor, which could have be thought of as just a joke, spread throughout Japan. What do I mean by this? If you were to go to the streets of Akihabara, Miku overran the area. From the ticket gates of the station to the main street just immediately after them to the station building and game center billboard, Hatsune Miku nearly covered every inch of the area. On this day, Volks began accepting pre-orders for Dollfie Dream Hatsune Miku (DD Miku). This overtaking of Akihabara was held as the first part of it release campaign.

Pre-orders for DD Miku will be accepted until Dec. 1 and, unlike past collaborations, pre-orders are necessary for obtaining this special Dollfie Dream. Included with the DD Miku doll itself is a wig, hair accessories, head part, neck tie, blouse, skirt with a belt, boots, and more items Miku wouldn’t be complete without. DD Miku is can be pre-ordered for 65,100 yen. Volks staff commented, “If anyone has wished to meet Hatsune Miku in their room, this will bring that dream closer to reality than ever before.” Fans have been showing passionate support.

The DD Miku is expected to ship in the fall of 2014. Until then, fans will be keeping their rooms clean and clothing and accessories organized as they prepare for Hatsune Miku’s arrival! You haven’t pre-ordered her yet? It’s alright, there is still time! You can still pre-order her via the official DD Miku English site. Click the link below if you are interested!
