At Tokyo Game Show 2013, to be held between Sept. 19-22, attendees will have the opportunity to try Supergamer Me, Japan’s first tablet specialized for gaming that is equipped with a button-mapping function. Those who can’t wait so long can also try the real thing in Akihabara’s SPEC Direct Store.
SPEC Direct Store is a shop in Akihabara that handles accessories for iPhone, iPad, and all kinds of smartphones. The shop manager gave the Supergamer Me his seal of approval, saying, “A tablet made just for gamers!!!” and, “It’s Me! Me, Me, Me!! With specs adjusted to gamers.” The tablet has been largely talked about ever since its announcement.
It was newly announced that during Tokyo Game Show 2013, which is held from Sept. 19 to 22, attendees will have the chance to try out Supergamer Me. In addition, a tie-up project was also announced.
Applications will be promoted on the new game tablet. For details, please check this page. Individual applications are also accepted, so if you have been secretly developing an application and have been waiting for the chance to release it with a big boom, this is your chance!
And that’s not all! Applications are also being taken for game apps that use the button-mapping function. Only unreleased games are accepted in the contest. The first prize is ¥300,000 and the special award is ¥100,000.
