The Hatsune Miku concert “Magical Mirai 2013,” which will be held at Yokohama Arena on Aug. 30, is being extended to all over Japan and even abroad. It has been decided that the concert will be broadcast in movie theaters worldwide by Live Viewing Japan. This event will take place on Aug. 31 beginning at 1 p.m. in more than 30 theaters across Japan and 23 theaters across eight different countries.
“Magical Mirai 2013” is a cultural festival focusing on the popular Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. It’s a day to enjoy all of Miku, through her past, future, and live performance. The excitement of the concert will reach even those who can’t come to Yokohama Arena. Aug. 31 is also known as being Hatsune Miku’s birthday. Fans all over the world will be able to celebrate together, either by going to the event or watching it in theaters in their respective countries.
Within Japan, this screening event will be held in theaters from Hokkaido in the north to Oita in the south. But what many of you are really interested in is where it will be held overseas, right? Well then, it will be held in six theaters in Taiwan, four in China, three in Mexico, two in the U.S. and Brazil, and one in France, Germany, and England. Though Miku has become extremely popular worldwide, the organizers of this event tried to focus on countries in particular that have a large Miku fanbase.
