On July 25, “Lis Ani! Vol. 14” went on sale, and the audiovisual unit MimimemeMIMI was introduced in a feature for the anime A Town Where You Live. The special supplement was a music video DVD for “Mr. Darling,” an official image song of the anime. MimimemeMIMI’s song “Sentimental Love” is also used as the opening theme to the anime. The unit was also in charge of the “Mr. Darling” music video.
MimimemeMIMI is a new-generation audiovisual unit made up of Yuka, a singer and songwriter, and college friend and illustrator Chamooi, who is also a TOM Special Creator. During college life, Yuka and Chamooi created the unit with the feeling of wanting to produce something with one another that fused together the knowledge of their mutual activities: music and illustration.
“Lis Ani! Vol. 14” also includes an interview with these two who are still shrouded in mystery. The 184-page, A5-size volume costs 1,260 yen.
In other news, the short version of the “Sentimental Love” music video is now viewable on YouTube. It’s now clear that this music video is connected to the delicate story from the last scene of “Mr. Darling.”
The CD for “Sentimental Love” will release on Aug. 14. The first press edition will cost 1,680 yen and the regular edition will cost 1,260 yen. The first press edition is a limited edition only sold while the anime is broadcasting and it will include the song “Senkō Hanabi” and a DVD that will feature the creditless opening movie as well as the “Sentimental Love” music video. “Senkō Hanabi” is worth noting because the anime’s main characters Eba Yuzuki (CV: Megumi Nakajima), Mishima Asuka (CV: Ayane Sakura), and Kanzaki Nanami (CV: Yuki Takao) are the vocalists. As for the CD jackets, the first press edition features artwork by Kōji Seo, the illustrator of the original manga. The regular edition is adorned with art by Chamooi.
