Haruka and Rin’s Showdown leads the boys to start making their own place to swim!
Haruka and Rin finally have their showdown but... The next day, the three boys are in trouble for trespassing at the other school. Aiming to meet Rin, Makoto and Nagisa end up finding his sister Gou. Nagisa then proposes, “Let’s start a swimming club!” They gather at Haruka’s house, and when they propose founded a swimming club, he quickly accepts. The next day, the boys ask the teacher, Amakata, to be their advisor so they can start the swimming club. Unable to refuse, she reluctantly agrees.
Immediately, the OK to found the Swimming Club comes from Miss Amakata but...only on the condition that they repair the pool themselves. After weeding, the three boys simply manage the inside of the pool and the fence until they are repaired. Haruka demonstrates an unexpected talent for drawing in the member recruitment poster which everyone seems to enjoy. At the same time, Nagisa invites people to the swimming club but doesn’t pick up any members at all. Then, he tries to get Miss Amakata to invite people in swimsuit, but wearing a swimsuit is something she absolutely vetoes.
During the repairs, Gō asks Makoto why Haruka hasn’t been swimming up to now. Then, she finds out that in the showdown between Haruka and Rin, Rin won. However, that doesn’t seem to be the way Rin understood the match. In front of the swimming club which is being demolished, Makoto finds out the result of Haruka and Rin’s showdown in their in elementary school days from his former coach, Sasabe.
In episode 2, various thoughts about swimming are clarified and the story gets going.
