On July 17, a Ferrari decorated with illustrations of characters from the anime series Attack on Titan, which began broadcasting in April, was displayed on the street in front of Akiba Drug & Cafe. The car was a Ferrari 458 Spider, valued at 40 million yen (approximately $400,000).

The Attack on Titan Ferrari was part of a publicity event for the series' first Blu-ray disc release and the next day opening of Akiba Drug & Cafe. The chief advertiser was a somewhat less intimidating 1.8 meter version of the Colossal Titan. Both the Ferrari and the tiny titan appeared suddenly in Akihabara and put all their effort into the PR event.

The Blu-ray disc which went on sale July 17 includes a 65-page never-before-seen "Volume 0" Attack on Titan manga. Also included are items with illustrations by character designer Kyoji Asano. These include an illustrated card with the ending sequence, three-part folded disc case, and a 12-page special booklet. Furthermore the disc includes a special feature titled "Attack on Titan Chimi-Kyara Theater: Fly Away Reserve Corps" as well as the series' opening sequence without the credits. It's a must-have for all die-hard Attack on Titan fans. The Blu-ray is 6,300 yen and the DVD version is 5,250 yen (both prices include tax).
