The enormously popular game app Puzzle & Dragons is becoming a card game. On Nov. 15, Puzzle & Dragons Deck-Builder Game Capture! Metadora Dungeon will release from Media Factory. As expected, familiar monsters of the original game, such as Meteor Volcano Dragon and Ancient Dragon Knight, will be included as cards. The first version will include 10 specially drawn Firedragon Tyrannos cards and will cost for 4,725 yen.
One set of 356 cards will be playable solo or with up to four people. All players begin with the same amount of cards at hand and gradually build a deck of their liking while acquiring cards that have been put out, hence the title “deck-builder game.” A player wins by defeating their opponent with their deck at hand and obtaining many points.
Different from a trading card game, even if players don’t purchase additional booster packs, playing this deck-builder game is still enjoyable. Details on the rules are still unknown, but it seems that the game’s different strategy will make for fun gameplay.
