Popular Hatsune Miku Artist Kei Illustrates Moe Characters for Summer Liquors at Lawsons

Otaku of Japan are escaping the heat with new moe characters Meu and Yurisu who debuted via Lawsons! Popular illustrator Kei designed these characters as bottle art for umeshu, which is made with fruit similar to a plum or apricot, and yuzu sake, which boasts a citrusy flavor, both made by the company Nakano Shuzo. The umeshu is 14% alcohol and the yuzu sake is 7% alcohol, but both are 720 ml of deliciousness.

Kei is famous for designing Vocaloid characters including Hatsune Miku, as well as Rin and Len Kagamine. Using green as the main color, Kei beautifully drew Meu with full twin tails wearing a stunning yukata and smiling sweetly with a glass of umeshu. Using blue as the main color, Yurisu looks sporty with a ponytail, sneakers, and playful grin.

Fans were able to pre-order the special liquors and a respective clear file for 1,680 yen each until July 15 with Aug. 6 as the expected delivery date. Which cute character would you like to spend summer with? Tell us in the comments!
