The popular Pokémon Eevee has mastered a special skill. “Sing Eevee” knows the move “Sing” and will be given to fans as a present as part of a special event to be held at LaLaport Toyosu in Tokyo on the release day of Pokémon Best Wishes: ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo’s Awakening on July 13.
Mewtwo’s Awakening is the latest work of the popular Pokémon films. This event will be held in conjunction with the release day of the film in theaters. Ikimono-gakari, the group who sings the film’s theme song “Smile” will be guests and will perform the song. Also, those attending the event will be able to get a Pokémon useable in the games Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, and Pokémon White 2 as a present.
Kiyoe Yoshioka, lead vocalist of Ikimono-gakari, challenged herself as a voice actress for the first time by performing as Eevee in the film. Thus, “Sing Eevee” is a commemorative present themed after singing because of its relation to the musician Yoshioka. Naturally, “Sing Eevee” knows the move “Sing,” a move Eevee doesn’t learn otherwise. In addition to this, “Sing Eevee” knows other moves including “Return” and “Echoed Voice.” Fans can look forward to a lot of activity.
Those who can’t attend the event still have a chance at obtaining “Sing Eevee.” An exchange ticket for “Sing Eevee” will be included in the limited production version of the single for the song “Smile.” Each exchange ticket can be brought to Pokémon Centers and Toys R Us stores throughout Japan to obtain one “Sing Eevee.” The single will release on July 10 for 649 yen. Fans can exchange the tickets from July 14 to Sept. 1.
There is also another present project planned. Those who purchase a special advance ticket for the film can receive Mewtwo as a present. Mewtwo’s special attacks and quickness make it one of the strongest of all the Pokémon. The Mewtwo given out will be Level 100. From here on, various campaigns associated with the game will be heating up the release of this summer’s Pokémon film.
