“The Flowers of Evil” Episode 7 Recap

Oh me and the foolishness of my body which betrays me
Right after that painfully difficult, yet honest confession!
Repentance is late, it might never arrive.
Fate is like a curse - wherever I go, I can’t escape it.
Using haphazardly the fragments of this extreme, unsightly desire
Residing in this body, making confessions here and there
Will only lead to falling into the scorching flames of hell,
While raising a beast-like battle cry.

“Tell me Kasuga-kun, tell me about the real you,” Saeki asks Takao, taking his hand and looking at him with a serious face.

Takao, fearing Nakamura had already told her the whole thing, was unable to hide his trembling. However, at the end of his inner conflict, the words that left his mouth were, “I’m not hiding anything.” As Takao is trapped in self-hatred because of his cowardice and self-preservation, he decides that having Nakamura tell Saeki about his sins might put him at ease.

However, on the night Nakamura summons him, waiting at the school, she wants something that was completely different from Takao’s expectations. Their “flowers of evil,” linked together with ecstasy and liberation from the restraints, start to bloom.
