On May 9, the online game company Nexon began distribution of the smartphone-intended social game Hayate the Combat Butler: Card Battlers on the mobile site Mixi.
Hayate the Combat Butler is a slapstick love comedy that follows Ayasaki Hayate, a boy who becomes a butler for a rich family named Sanzenin. The original manga by Kenjiro Hata is currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday, and the popular anime adaptation has been broadcasting since 2007, with its fourth season currently airing.
The objective of Hayate the Combat Butler: Card Battlers is to collect cards of the characters from the series and create the strongest deck. Since the game contains cards of many of the cute female characters from the series, including Sanzenin Nagi and the Sanzenin household’s maid, Maria, it can be said that this game is irresistible to fans of the series.
