Special Soundtrack Box Sets to Be Released for Game Series “Street Fighter” and “Vampire”

On July 10, wonderful soundtrack CD box sets for the game series Street Fighter and Vampire (known outside of Japan and Asia as Darkstalkers) will be released by Capcom’s Suleputer label. The box illustrations for both the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Sound Box and Darkstalkers Sound Box have been drawn by famous manga author Yusuke Murata, whose works include Eyeshield 21 and One-Punch Man (publisher: Shueisha). Murata created original illustrations for each set’s box. In addition to being used on each set’s special box case, his illustrations will also be used on included postcards that come printed with a serial number.

Since both of the CD boxes are limited, those who want to get their hands on them should pre-order them soon.

Fans who pre-ordered either box set before May 20 were able to enter to win originally drawn color illustrations as part of a pre-order campaign for each CD on Capcom’s online shopping site, e-Capcom. The prizes for this wonderful campaign are color illustrations of Chun-Li and Morrigan drawn by Capcom’s design team.

Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Sound Box
The Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Sound Box includes the 11-disc set that was a part of the “Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector’s Set.” This set was previously released only in North America to splendid praise, and its inclusion in this box set will be the first time it is released in Japan. In addition to nine discs spanning choice musical selections from the series, the set also includes two discs of music created by overseas fans: the Fan Remix Soundtrack and Fan Original Soundtrack. With 11 discs in total, this box set is one hefty collector’s item. The set also comes with a Japanese version of a large booklet together with the special box case. The Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Sound Box will retail for 11,550 yen (tax included).

Vampire Sound Box
The Vampire Sound Box will include five discs that cover music from the original game in the series, Vampire, as well as its two sequels, Vampire Hunter and Vampire Savior. In addition to this, an extra CD is also included that contains an outstanding selection of music from the series’ later games. Due to the original source material being out of production, the songs included in this box set have been newly remastered. Similarly to the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Sound Box, this box set also comes with a large booklet and special box case. The Vampire Sound Box will retail for 9,450 yen (tax included)
