Cafe Themed After Anime “Karneval” Opens in Animate Cafe Tennoji! Limited Goods and Menu Featured!

Animate Cafe Tennoji continuously collaborates with popular works and characters. This month’s collaboration is with the anime Karneval. Karneval began broadcasting this April and has gathered quite the popularity among female fans.

From June 1-30, the interior of the cafe will be completely decorated after Karneval. Fans can order from the food and drink menu themed after the anime, purchase limited goods, and receive limited special items. Fans definitely won’t want to overlook this cafe because the items and menu are exclusive to the cafe.

The menu includes food items such as “Nai mo Daisuki Mochi~nigiri” (680 yen), and “Gareki’s Karasuna no Meatball Stew” (880 yen); dessert items such as “Nyaperona’s Pawpad Dessert” (680 yen); and drink items such as “Tsukumo’s Strawberry Juice” (480 yen) and “Nigou Tei’s Sheep Latte Art” (480 yen). Furthermore, as special favors, fans can receive at random one of six limited coasters for each drink purchased and one of five clear bookmarks for each dessert of food item purchased. The cafe has many enjoyable features for fans.

Guests can only purchase the limited goods after they have eaten at the cafe. Products for sale include A4 clear files (368 yen), character cookies (680 yen), and random capsule toys of 12 different pin badges (200 yen each). On Saturday and Sunday, fans can enter the shop through a reservation lottery. Entry through the Animate cafe site is required. On the weekdays, entry is on a first come basis, and numbered tickets are distributed to guests.

Touya Mikanagi’s Karneval is an original manga currently serialized in Monthly Comic Zero-Sum (published by Ichijinsha). The main character is a mysterious young boy named Nai who knows nothing but his name and of the strange character Karoku.

When Karoku seems to have gone missing, Nai comes across Karoku’s bracelet (a Circus I.D.) and continues to search for him. Nai makes a friend named Gareki, and becomes entrenched in huge affairs. The secret popularity of this work is its magnificent backdrops and diverse characters.
