The biggest event of the anime song world, “Animelo Summer Live 2013 - Flag Nine-,” will be held over three days at the Saitama Super Arena from Aug. 23-25. This year is the ninth Animelo Summer Live, but the first time the event will be held over three days. Advance tickets are priced at 8,500 yen (tax included) and all tickets reserve a seat for the three days.
The artists at Anime Summer Live participate across the borders of their labels. Each day, about five hours of performances will be carried out. Only the names of the artists are announced in advance, details such as songs and performance order are kept secret until the event opens. They employ this strategy so that the event remains a complete surprise. The dream collaborations that took place in the past include JAM Project & Nana Mizuki in 2011 and Tetsuro Oda & Sho Uesugi in 2012. This is one of Animelo Summer Live’s characteristic surprises, and anticipation is building for this year’s collaboration.
