One April 29, the maid cafe Love Cafe, located a mere five minutes by foot from Akihabara Station, celebrated their one year anniversary. In addition to serving customers in the standard moe appeal, Love Cafe also offers a unique service that allows for customers to be able to photograph the maids in a full-blown studio.
The cafe comprises floors five and six, which floor five being the photography studio. The studio features two large lighting machines that allow even beginners to capture beautiful photos. For a rate of 4,000 yen for 30 minutes, customers can pick their favorite maid to photograph. For an additional fee of 2,000 yen, customers can rent a variety of costumes for the maid to wear, including sailor outfits, China dresses, and school swimsuits. They can also have the maid dress in her everyday clothes, as well as request various poses while photographing their chosen maid.
Even though this service may be exciting, keep in mind that before you can partake in it, you must consult with the shop first. Those who make a reservation will receive a complimentary soft drink complete with a moe service from a maid.
The photography studio can also be rented out for activities other than photographing the maids, such as a personal cosplay photography session. In addition to it being in Akihabara, this cafe also has a usefulness as a legitimate photo studio that can be enjoyed even without large equipment.
