If you visit the unique search engine WolframAlpha and input “graph Hatsune miku curve,” a long equation and its graph that resembles Hatsune Miku will appear. Go ahead and try it for yourself.
WolframAlpha, the site that offers this strange service, started its web service in 2009. The site is equipped with a function called a “question-answer system.” The service freely uses natural language analysis and algorithms, and, in response to keywords that are entered, it returns real information and calculation results.
The Hatsune Miku graph we introduced is just the beginning. The service has recordings of graphs and numerical formulas for a variety of characters. Of course, there are many graphs based on heroes from American comics and faces of celebrities, as well as many famous characters in Japanese anime and games, such as Gundams and Pikachu.
The amount of formulas included in the service will be increasing, so many formulas for even more characters and celebrities will continue being decoded.
