Experience the World of the Anime! Anohana Stamp Rally Being Held Now in Chichibu

We Still Don’t Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day (aka Anohana) is a popular anime that was broadcast between April and June 2011 on the noitaminA anime block. A new movie in the series will be released in Japan on Aug. 31.

In commemoration of the movie’s release, an event called “2013 Spring Anohana Stamp Rally in Chichibu” is being held in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, which is the city the anime’s setting was modeled after. Participants will be able to visit famous locations in Chichibu to collect stamps of the six main characters from the series.

The stamp rally is divided into two parts. The first, called “Anohana × Moss Phlox ~Menma and Flower Viewing Meetup~,” was held from April 20 to May 6. This part of the rally was set up in the “Hitsujiyama Park Moss Phlox Festival” and participants were able to enjoy the beautiful, natural scenery while collecting stamps.

The second part of the rally, titled “Anohana × Chichibu ~A Stroll Through the Town of the Super Peace Busters~,” is going on now until June 30. Life-size cutouts of characters from Anohana are on display at each stamp point, and a free booklet is being given out. Those who collect more than five stamps will also receive an Anohana original photo card as a commemorative gift.
